Multistep Onboarding Flow

Onboarding wasn’t just a checklist—it was the first impression. Each brand had to show value in its own voice. We built a flexible, multistep flow that educated, reassured, and encouraged opt-in without overwhelm. From location to notifications, tracking to rewards, each step adjusted to brand and need.

We created a modular framework that scaled across brands. Each screen used warm visuals, banner-aligned copy, and clear benefits, building trust before asking for access. The flow supported up to five steps with logic to control if and when system prompts appeared.

Permissions weren’t front-loaded, they were earned. Users first saw custom screens that explained the why before any native prompt appeared. Separating context from the OS request reduced drop-off and boosted opt-ins for notifications, location, and tracking.

This flow wasn’t static. Each card could be reordered, swapped, or disabled based on user state, brand priorities, or feature launches. That flexibility let us test messaging, update copy, and experiment with opt-in strategies without rebuilding the experience.
